We have arrived in Danmark, staying in Vejle.

Madrid. The patrol had to have service of the front axle, unfortunately substantial, new knuckle and wheel bearings plus all filters and oil. Joergen and Kukki helped finding a Nissan shop close to Puerte Hierro. Joni got the clothes sraightened up. After 3 weeks on the road they needed it. We enjoyed very good food and the usual good company on Velayos 30.

On the road again towards Barcelona. Warning to travellers in Spain Got pulled over by phony policemen on the Autovia who somehow managed to steal Euro 450 during search of our wallets - Do not stop for anyone in Spain. Stayed overnight in Mollerussa a nice little town. It had just finished raining, and there was flooding everywhere in the region, not a problem for us though.

Montserrat. Drove to the top of the mountain to visit. We had a clear day so could see the mountain at least 20km's off. A lot of people had gotten the same idea. There were lines for everything. The black Madonna will have to wait till next time for our visit.

Barcelona. Found Las Ramblas easily enough, but had to spend 1 hour finding a parking lot, that allowed 2,15 meter in height (the rooftent!). Lunch and people watching. Met Rudi late in the afternoon for a beer. Were invited to dinner by ECCBC, very good food and many stories. Had to stay in Rudi's hotel, as we had not found lodgings earlier.

After breakfast walked to the car and drove to La Sagrada Familia. Sunday morning so no traffic. Saw the cathedral from the outside, it was already crowded. Miguel took us to the Gaudi Park on top of the hill. Very nice, great view and interesting buildings and sculptures. Left Barcelona in the afternoon up the coast towards France. Stopped in Cadaques an artsy very nice town just before the French border. Costa Brava is worth a visit.

In the morning continued North along the coast, got stuck in shopping traffic on the border to France. Hugged the coast until a little South of Montpellier. Stopped for the night in Martigues West of Marseilles. Old town on an island, well maintained, lots of boats and restaurants. France is richer and more taken care of than Spain.

On to Italy via St. Tropez and Monaco. The scenery is very pretty, everything is well kept and clean. Overnight in Ospedaletti just outside St. Remo.

Idle along the Ligurian coast to Savona. This coast is not so heavily developed (spoiled?) as the French Riviera. Into the mountains. Saw a ski resort and almost made it to Haut Provence. Had to change plans and go back down the mountains and North through a million round-abouts to Racconigi South of Torino. Party in the town with live music on a square and carneval.

Limone Italien/French border

To Ghiffa and Beatrice and Rudi, stayed for two days in Mario's place on Lago Maggiore. The lake is very difficult to leave.

San Bernardino over the Alps. Lunch in the pass at 2066 meters, Stau i Bregenz, overnight in Heidenheim (between ULM and Wurzburg) Gasthaus Bauchle small family run hotel with good food.

Autobahn to Schleswig, got delayed North of Kassel, the autobahn boys were playing with signs merging three lanes into one. Pleasant hotel (Hohenzollern), good food (schnitzels).

North to Vejle, arrival at noon after a 14668 long trip. Had to forget Skagen as Joni is needed in Italy.
