Dear Moo
I came to Bessemer 14 years ago to see Joni and meet You. You were probably curious to see who would fly to Alabama from New York for the week-end. There were greetings etc. and work to be done. A garden grill had to be assembled and ready for the planned Saturday Barbeque. A lot of people came, mostly family I believe. An extra driver was needed to pick-up Bob Sykes and what not. Lawrence managed to burn a hole in my shorts with his fireworks. Too much food, a lot of talk - a good party.
Next morning you made bacon in the microwave, and there was warm water on the stove for coffee. Breakfast took a long time. You were always the champion of sitting around the table long after the meal, chatting about whatever subject might come up. An art any Dane appreciates.
Over the years there have been other visits to Alabama, and you have visited in Denmark and Africa. You were an easy house guest. Sociable but also able to intertain yourself. And a good scout, never a complaint over the hot, dusty African road.
Now you are about to undertake the final travel. Good luck to you.
We love you and miss you
